Estimation of the annual rainfall erosivity index based on hourly rainfall data in a tropical region

چکیده
The annual mean rainfall erosivity (R) indicates the potential soil loss caused by precipitation and runoff is used to predict from agricultural hillslopes. R calculated stations with continuously recording databases. However, many short-term real-time databases that also relate intensity are not readily available around Taiwan, hourly data being predominantly available. 10-min accumulation converted 30-min (R10_30) can be estimated using convert (R10_60) kinetic energy (E60j). maximum 60-min (I60j) has been established in throughout southern Taiwan. set consists of 15 221 storm events 2002 2017 monitored 51 located tropical regions According results this study, average conversion factors (1.04), (1.47), (1.30) could based on data.

Rainfall erosivity over the Calabrian region
Abstract Following the results of a study carried out for the neighbouring Sicilian region, this paper reports a study of the applicability of the annual value, F , of the Arnouldus index to represent the erosion risk in Calabrian region. Firstly, By using 214 values of the mean annual value of the erosivity index, FF, and a Kriging interpolation method, an isoerosivity map is plotted. Then, in...
متن کاملRainfall erosivity in Europe.
Rainfall is one the main drivers of soil erosion. The erosive force of rainfall is expressed as rainfall erosivity. Rainfall erosivity considers the rainfall amount and intensity, and is most commonly expressed as the R-factor in the USLE model and its revised version, RUSLE. At national and continental levels, the scarce availability of data obliges soil erosion modellers to estimate this fact...

The 30-min rainfall erosivity index (EI30) is commonly used in the Universal Soil Loss Equation for predicting soil loss from agricultural hillslopes. EI30 is calculated from the total kinetic energy and the maximum 30-min rainfall intensity of a storm. Normally, EI30 values are calculated from breakpoint rainfall information taken from continuous recording rain gauge charts, however, in many p...

Rainfall erosivity is the potential ability for rainfall to cause soil loss. The purpose of this study was to estimate the rainfall erosivity index for the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission site in order to compute the surface erosion rate. Monthly rainfall data, for the period 2003-2012 were used to compute annual rainfall erosivity indices for the site, using the Modified Fournier index. Values ...
متن کاملMapping monthly rainfall erosivity in Europe
Rainfall erosivity as a dynamic factor of soil loss by water erosion is modelled intra-annually for the first time at European scale. The development of Rainfall Erosivity Database at European Scale (REDES) and its 2015 update with the extension to monthly component allowed to develop monthly and seasonal R-factor maps and assess rainfall erosivity both spatially and temporally. During winter m...
